Fabio Carvalho delivered a coy response when challenged on the likelihood of signing for Liverpool this summer after winning the Championship title with Fulham this evening.
The 19-year-old midfielder helped Marco Silva's side confirm their champions status with one match remaining in the season following a 7-0 thrashing of Luton Town on home soil, which ensured they can't be caught by second-placed Bournemouth.
Carvalho has played a key role in Fulham's promotion-winning campaign, scoring ten goals and registering eight assists in the second-tier in his first full season at first-team level. Such displays led to transfer interest from Liverpool in January, only for a deal to fall through at the eleventh hour.

Out of contract in the summer, there is now an expectation the Reds will still secure the services of the Lisbon-born star for a fee believed to be in the region of £5million. With his time at Fulham now seemingly nearing its end, Carvalho was quizzed on the potential of joining Liverpool but refused to give much away.
"We'll see what happens," he told Sky Sports. "Right now, I'm just trying to enjoy the moment and I can't thank these fans enough. We'll see what happens."
Another player Fulham will be desperate to keep hold of in the summer is prolific forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, who this evening broke the record for goals scored in a 46-game season at Championship level. The Serbian striker heaped praise on Carvalho, who was also on target on Monday night, and admitted he 'hopes to play a few more games' with the talented teenager.
"What can I say? I can't find the words to describe him," said Mitrovic of the Liverpool target. "I know he is a little bit shy and I'm not going to praise him so much, but he is an amazing young boy who loves football so much. He always wants to learn, he is so calm and I want to say it's a big future ahead of him but we will see what happens. I hope we play a few more games together, I enjoyed this season playing next to him."
