Rangers have confirmed the signing of Turkish international full-back Ridvan Yilmaz on a five-year deal from Besiktas.
The left-back joins the Ibrox club for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance and the work permit process being concluded.
The 21-year-old is an impressive capture for the Gers after it was reported in his homeland that Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt and English Premier League side Tottenham held an 'interest' in his services. But it's Giovanni van Bronckhorst who has captured him and he comes in as a Calvin Bassey replacement. The Nigerian international signed for Ajax earlier this month.
Ben Davies has arrived to fill the void left by the former Leicester City youngster at centre-back and Yilmaz will plug a gap at left-back. The 21-year-old has been capped six times by Turkey and has made 62 Besiktas appearances.
He is Rangers' seventh summer signing after John Souttar, Antonio Colak, Rabbi Matondo, Tom Lawrence, Malik Tillman and Davies. Premiership business starts again this Saturday when Rangers travel to West Lothian to face Livingston.

They warmed up for that match with a 2-1 loss against Tottenham at Ibrox on Saturday, with a Harry Kane double ruthlessly cancelling out Colak's first half strike.
Speaking after agreeing to join Rangers today, Yilmaz said: “I am delighted to be joining a club the size of Rangers and am really looking forward to meeting my new teammates.
“This is a club who have shown they can compete against some of the best teams in Europe, and I am really excited by the challenges we have ahead of us.
"I have heard so much too about the Rangers supporters and I cannot wait to play in front of them for the first time."
Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst continued: “I am really pleased to have added Ridvan to our squad and I believe he will bring a lot of quality to the club.
"I have been really impressed with his development in a really demanding, winning environment at Besiktas over the last few seasons.
“I am looking forward to welcoming him to training in the coming days and to seeing him in action for the first time."
