Ridvan Yilmaz in Rangers injury return as defender starts alongside John Souttar in Glasgow Cup clash against Celtic

Ridvan Yilmaz and John Souttar are set to start for Rangers B today in their clash with Celtic in the Glasgow Cup.

The Scotland international has been plagued with injuries since signing from Hearts and made his comeback on Saturday when he came on for the last couple of minutes in the win over Kilmarnock. Turkish international Yilmaz, who signed from Besiktas for around £5 million in the summer window, has also been named in the starting eleven to face their city rivals at the Rangers Training Centre this afternoon.

The 21-year-old has been out after he suffered a hamstring injury against Aberdeen earlier this season. Rangers boss Michael Beale revealed last month he put an arm round Yilmaz following the devastating earthquake in Turkey. He said: "You send your condolences as we’ve all seen the really sad news and the bits on TV. It’s tragic. I had a little conversation with Ridvan on it, not a big one. He’s out training and is close to a return and that’s what he’s focused on."

Among the other first team names to take part in the game will be Leon King and Adam Devine who will make up a strong backline for the Light Blues.

Here's how both teams line up:

Rangers: Budinauckas, Devine, Souttar, King, Ridvan, Rice, Lindsay, Lyall, McCausland, Lovelace, Ure

Subs: Pazikas, Allan, Fraser, MacKinnon, Strachan, Graham, Stevens

Celtic: Clarke, McPherson, Anderson, Lawal, Robertson, Carse, Brooks, Summers, Dawson, Letsosa, Quinn

Subs: Dede, Morrison, MacKenzie, Morrison, Kelly, Thomson, Cummings
