Rangers boss Gio Van Bronckhorst has revealed both Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz will travel for their crunch Champions League qualifier against Union Saint-Gilloise.
The former Besiktas left-back arrived in Glasgow on Saturday and took part in a full session on Sunday, as he aims to make an instant impact against the Belgians. Incumbent left-back Borna Barisic started Saturday's battling 2-1 win over Livingston on Saturday. And there's also good news on Wales international Matondo who will join Yilmaz on the plane to Belgium.
The Europa League finalists are back in continental action for the first time since Seville as they aim to dine at European football's top table for the first time since 2010. And Rangers will be aiming for a positive result against the Belgian upstarts who narrowly missed out on a fairytale title triumph last season.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Belgium, Van Bronckhorst said: "Matondo trained with the team as did Rıdvan yesterday. Both can travel with us this afternoon. I've played many times in the Champions League and have coached in it, one of the strongest competitions in the world and it would be fantastic for us to be involved. We have four important games and we will try everything.
"What we did really well last season was to always enter the second game with an opportunity to go through. We have had good preparation as we are up against a very good side and we now have to execute our gameplan."
