Ricky Gervais has risked Will Smith’s wrath with his takedown of the Hollywood star’s son’s unique headwear at this year’s Grammys.
The internet want into overdrive when Jaden Smith, 26, took to the red carpet of the star-studden event at the weekend sporting an elaborate hat shaped like a castle.
Many rushed to social media to weigh-in on the look with some saying it resembled “a haunted Minecraft building”, while others suggested 'a rejected Zoom background” or “a Halloween outfit for a 5 year old”.
Never one to miss an opportunity to roast a celebrity, comedian Gervais decided to get involved, but upped the ante by bringing Jaden’s famous parents into the mix.

Gervais did this by referencing Chris Rock's notorious joke about Jada Pinkett Smith that resulted in her husband Will storming the stage at the 2022 Oscars and slapping him.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to respond to a photo of Jaden in his attention-grabbing getup, he wrote: “Maybe he's bald like his mum”.
This line of thinking went down brilliantly with his fans who were quick to declare it “absolute gold” and “already the best post of the year”,
Others were a little more cautious in their praise and warned him not to provoke Smith.
“Ohh he just went there'; 'Hahahaha…. I literally just spat my coffee out!!! You sir, are brilliant,” penned one person, before adding: “He's gonna slap you!”

“HAHAHAHA, Ricky wins the internet... again!” agreed another, “Watch yourself, been some Will Smith sightings on your side of the pond.”
While another quipped: “Ooof you are pushing Will to act out!! You may have to remove her name from your mouth”.
Smith made international headlines after his altercation with Rock, which occurred after the comedian cracked a joke about Pinkett Smith looking like “G.I. Jane” because of her bald head, when she had recently revealed that she was suffering from alopecia.
Smith saw red and to the shock of the audience in the room and those watching at home, slapped him straight across the face.
Upon returning to his seat, he then told Rock to '”Keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth.”
Smith later apologised to Rock for his actions, but was banned from attending another Oscars ceremony for 10 years.
