Rick Ross has been arrested for failing to show up in court to answer a charge for marijuana possession in 2013. The rapper was taken into custody on Friday, following his performance at the 2014 SuperJam in Greensboro, North Carolina.
He had been arrested in the town last year, and failed to show up for an appointed court date. So when he visited Greensboro again, police were waiting. "After he was done performing, we escorted him to the magistrate's office," Greensboro police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen told the Greensboro News and Record.
The 38-year-old was later released after posting $1,000 bail.
Ross has previously been arrested in both Florida and Louisiana for possession of marijuana. He has also attracted controversy after supplying a verse to U.O.E.N.O. by MC Rocko in which he appeared to endorse date rape, which he claimed was an attempt to offer a warning to women.
