Rick Astley announces Cardiff gig ahead of Glastonbury appearance

‘80s legend Rick Astley is set to go on another UK tour and will be playing a gig in Cardiff. The 57-year-old singer-songwriter, who is set to perform Glastonbury this weekend, made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, June 20.

Never Gonna Give You Up singer Rick tweeted: “My new single ‘Dippin’ My Feet’ is out now! But that is not all... ‘Are We There Yet?’ My brand new album is coming on October 6th! I’ll be heading back out on the road from November! Pre-order the album by 7pm today for tour pre-sale access tomorrow.”

Rick’s Are We There Yet? tour begins in February and runs until March 2024 with two more shows scheduled for November in London. He will perform in Wales on Monday, February 26 at Cardiff’s International Arena.

Tickets for the shows become available via pre-sale on Wednesday, June 21 at 9.30am via the Ticketmaster website. The general sale starts at 9.30am on Friday, June 23.

As mentioned, Rick will make his Glastonbury debut on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, June 24 at 12pm. The performance will be made available on BBC iPlayer at 5pm on Sunday, June 25. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.
