Richmond utility Rhyan Mansell has lost an appeal against his three-match suspension.
Mansell was found guilty of rough conduct by the AFL tribunal for a bump which concussed Fremantle's James Aish last weekend.
The incident was graded by match review officer Michael Christian as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.
The 23-year-old was banned for three games but took his case to the AFL's appeals board.
At a hearing on Friday, the board rejected Richmond's appeal, leaving Mansell suspended for the upcoming matches against St Kilda, Brisbane and Sydney.
