A motorcyclist has been left fighting for their life after a collision with a car in Richmond, south London, on Saturday afternoon.
Police, paramedics and the London Air Ambulance were called to the scene shortly after 12.30pm at Richmond’s Manor Road at the junction of Queen’s Road, close to North Sheen station.
Officers said the collision involved a motorbike and a car.
The rider of the motorbike, thought to be in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
As of Saturday evening, road closures remained in place in the area, with motorists being warned of long delays through routes in Richmond and North Sheen.
Bus routes 33, 337, 493 and 969 were on diversion.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “The collision involved a motorbike and a car. The rider of the bike, believed in his 30s, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Local road closures remain in place.”
