Richie Sadlier was not one bit impressed with Poland's performance in their 2-0 loss to Argentina in their final group game of the FIFA World Cup.
Poland were second best throughout and goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez gave the South American side the win. Despite the defeat, Poland still progressed to the knockout stages of the competition courtesy of having a superior goal difference to third placed side Mexico.
Sadlier was unimpressed with what Poland had shown over the course of the 90 minutes. After the game, the RTE pundit slammed the Polish side, and reflected on Argentina's journey since their opening day defeat to Saudi Arabia.

"It's been the perfect recovery (for Argentina) since that day one defeat," said Sadlier, "It's now just a slightly embarrassing footnote to whatever they do in this tournament."
"Ray at one point on commentary said 'They're starting to look like favourites the way they are playing tonight,' and he wondered why there was such a contrast between how they played tonight and how they played in the opening game with Saudi Arabia.
"Because on the opening day they had an opposition who wanted the ball, wanted to score and wanted to prevent them from scoring.
Sadlier went further still and tore into Poland for being so abject in defeat.
"They (Poland) have absolutely stunk the place out tonight. They've offered nothing at all. No personality, no ambition, no fight, no pride - nothing.
Carrying on, the former Millwall striker believes Poland were a beaten team before taking to the field, and feels as though Poland knew and accepted they were going to concede before a ball was even kicked.
"Don't take a blind bit of notice of trying to score ourselves. Don't mind Robert (Lewandowski) up front, leave him up there. If he can create something grand, but let's not get near him in terms of numbers.
"And even if we go 1-0 down or 2-0 down - Do nothing."
