Richarlison has revealed Carlo Ancelotti congratulated him on his move to Tottenham and how he might 'cry' when he plays in the Champions League for the first time.
The Brazilian joined Spurs last week in a deal which could eventually cost £60m including add-ons. Watford will receive a small fee as part of the deal due to a sell-on clause they inserted in the deal that took him to Merseyside.
The ECHO reported last week how Richarlison had been viewed by Spurs as a player who could strengthen Antonio Conte's squad heading into the new season. The forward made 152 appearances for Everton after joining from Watford during the summer of 2018, scoring 53 goals in that time.

And speaking on his Everton departure for the first time, Richarlison revealed, while praising his new manager Conte, that his former boss Ancelotti had been in touch with him following his Goodison Park exit
He said: "He's one of the best coaches in the world, isn't he? So it's a privilege to be here, to be coached by him. I believe I will learn a lot working with him.
"He is very good friends with Carlo Ancelotti, and Carlo congratulated me on the transfer, said Conte is a friend of his, so I have everything to grow here working with him and I hope to contribute to bringing big victories and titles to help him too."
Before he added on his transfer: "I'm very happy for this moment. I remember when I was in Brazil and the offer from Tottenham came I couldn't believe it.
“And after I signed the contract, even more so because it feels like a dream. When I arrived here it gave me chills in my stomach to see my new team-mates and a new home.
"I hope to make history here in this shirt. And now it's about working with the great coach I have, with my great team-mates too and make history in that shirt."
The 25-year-old's dream of playing in Europe's premier competition, the Champions League, will now come true, with Richarlison claiming he may cry because it is going to be such a special moment for him.
He said: "It's a dream isn't it? I was commenting with my friends that the TV gave us goosebumps just listening to the theme song. So now I can be inside the stadium, listening to that music.
"I always said it was my dream to play in the Champions League, and now this dream will come true. Maybe I can cry because it will be a special moment to be there playing in the Champions League which I only watched on TV.
"Until last year I was there on the sofa in my house watching the Champions League, and I said it was time to play there.
“All the players dream of playing in this great competition, so I think when the time comes I'll be quite emotional because it's a big competition and all the players want to play there."
