The Football Association have confirmed that Richarlison will receive a one-match ban for an incident during Everton's 1-0 win over Chelsea in May.
The 25-year-old was punished for picking up a smoke bomb which was on the field of play during the match, before seemingly attempting to throw it out of the ground. The area in which the object landed was below one of the big screens in the corner of Goodison Park, where no supporters are usually situated.
The Brazilian scored the only goal of the match as the Blues secured a crucial three points in their fight against relegation. His strike at the beginning of the second half, capitalising on a mistake in the visiting defence, sparked wild celebrations in the stands as the home crowd had produced a raucous atmosphere - leading to smoke bombs being thrown onto the pitch.

At the beginning of June, it was confirmed that Richarlison had been handed an FA charge - and now the organisation have confirmed the punishment of a one-match ban after he admitted his conduct was improper. That means the new Tottenham Hotspur signing will miss their opening match of the campaign against Southampton in August.
An official statement from the FA read: "An independent Regulatory Commission has suspended Richarlison de Andrade for one match and fined him £25,000 following a breach of FA Rule E3 that took place during a Premier League game on Sunday 1 May 2022.
"The Tottenham Hotspur forward admitted that his conduct while playing for Everton FC during the 46th minute of this game against Chelsea was improper, and his sanction was imposed during a subsequent hearing."
