Richard Madeley is unsure about his future on Good Morning Britain.
The television presenter has had a recurring role on the ITV breakfast show, where he usually sits alongside Susanna Reid from Monday through to Wednesdays each week, but he admits he doesn't know how long he'll be on the show.
Richard is part of a group of male co-presenters that join Susanna on the show after Piers' exit and in a new interview, he admits he could see his time on the show come to an end sooner rather than later.
His comments come just days after he was labelled "patronising" for his remark to a Labour MP that she was a "working woman".
Speaking on Kate Thornton's podcast, White Wine Question Time, Richard said: "But in terms of what I do on my own, which at the moment is Good Morning Britain, although who knows how long that'll go on for.
"I'm doing it month to month at the moment and I'm very happy to. I quite like operating at that level, I've had my main career curve. I'm not seeking some huge career arc, we'll see what happens. But I enjoy it, I enjoy doing it."
During the initial chat, Richard quizzed Shadow Culture Secretary Lucy Powell on why the UK hadn't enforced tougher sanctions against Russia yet. She suggested that sanctions could go further and that Labour is calling to close loopholes.
As the interview ended, Richard asked her whether she would be watching the UN's security council discussion on potential war crimes in Bucha at 5pm, as she said: "If I can juggle that around making my children's tea and all my various childcare demands, I will."
Richard then responded: "There speaks a working woman! Thanks very much indeed."
In another chat, Richard was slammed for a question about rape being used as a 'weapon of war' against Ukrainian civilians.
Joined by Chip Chapman, Former Senior British Adviser to US central command, Richard then asked: "Chip, we've said something that was widely reported this morning that rape was used as a weapon of war. How exactly is rape a weapon of war?"
Viewers were unimpressed by his comment, writing on social media: "Richard Madeley on #gmb has just asked, 'How exactly is rape a weapon of war?' ?????!!!!!!!" as another added: "Madeley, 'how is rape a weapon of war?' What a d***!!! #GMB."
