Richard Madeley signed up to I'm A Celebrity thinking it would be in the jungle.
The Good Morning Britain presenter briefly appeared on the ITV show last year, before suffering a 'funny turn' due to dehydration and being forced to leave the programme after being forced to break the show's strict Covid bubble.
And during a chat with fellow alumni Jordan North on the breakfast show, Richard - who only managed a few days in the castle after his funny turn - admitted that, like Jordan, he thought he was going to be in sunny Australia rather than in cold north Wales.
Speaking on today's show, he said: "They said the same to me when they asked me to do it. It was going to be in Australia and it had all been sorted out - and no it was in the castle in Wales. Fair enough.
"I got a call from Vernon Kay, who did incredibly well in it when you were there, and he said to me if they phoned him up and asked him to do it again, he'd do it in a heartbeat. He said it was one of the best experiences of his life."
Richard exited the ITV show just days in after a brief visit to hospital.
Speaking after his exit, he said: "I think what happened to me was I got dehydrated. I think that’s all it was. But dehydration, if anyone’s ever suffered from it, is actually quite disturbing.
"Basically I think I had been up for about 20 hours the day before. And the day before that we were having very long days and sleeping quite late, and we don’t have watches in there. But I don’t think I got to bed until about 4, 4.30 in the morning and I knew I was feeling thirsty and I’m quite bad at remembering to drink actually."
Richard remembers just "sitting there babbling" and "talking nonsense".
"And as I actually snuggled into my sleeping bag, it was freezing, I thought: 'Ah, I haven’t had a big drink in a while, I’ll do it when I wake up,'" he explained.
"The next thing I knew I was sitting there babbling, I was talking nonsense. I basically woke up I didn’t know where I was, what was going on and I could hardly string a sentence together. I went to the hospital, had all the tests you can imagine, got a 100% clean bill of health and they were happy for me to go back in."
