Good Morning Britain viewers were left wondering if they heard correctly after Richard Madeley's goodbye to a guest.
Ex-footballer Peter Shilton joined Richard and Kate Garraway on GMB to talk about the rise of gambling in football. A petition has been launched asking Downing Street to end excessive gambling ads that entice fans to spend their money on games.
The 72-year-old said that he wasn't against gambling as a whole but he did feel like it has taken too much of a stronghold on football. He said: "I'm not against gambling as a product, what I'm against is that it's been carte blanche since 2005 and I think football has got caught up in that.

"Football in the number one gambling product now. It's constant when there's a match on and you can bet on anything and I think football is taking easy money. If they're running their business on relying on gambling then the model for their business is not right."
Peter went on to say he struggled with gambling addiction and knows the harm it can bring. After the segment wrapped up, viewers were left in shock after host Richard Madeley's closing statement. Instead of saying goodbye to their guest, the ITV host said "You're right on the money" before quickly ending their call.
Taken aback by the 'insensitive' comment directed at an ex-gambling addict, viewers showed their astonishment. @nickoverheard said: "Did Richard Madeley just sign off a gambling addiction interview with ‘I think you’re absolutely on the money’ or did I imagine this?", while @uniquedollsUK added: "You’re on the money to an ex gambling addict.... #GMB"
Some viewers were also surprised neither host said goodbye to the footballer. @chutch92 said: "So they spent the whole interview cutting @Peter_Shilton off and then didn’t even say bye at the end of the interview.. @GMB sort it out! Shocking. #gmb"
