Richard Madeley launches Good Morning Britain rant against Silent Witness 'warnings'

Richard Madeley launched into a fiery rant on Monday's Good Morning Britain, after becoming increasingly annoyed by 'warnings,' at the start of TV shows.

Outspoken presenter Richard was back behind the desk of the ITV breakfast show to kick off a new weeks, as Ranvir Singh stood in for Susanna Reid and, not long into the live broadcast, he asked viewers at home if they were becoming 'sick of the warning culture,' before elaborating: "We were all watching Silent Witness, in our house last week. Silent Witness is all about murders, autopsies, grisly bits of evidence...Silent Witness, that's the series, it's been on screens for years.

"And they're now putting a warning out in front of it, saying 'Be careful because there's scenes in here that some of you might find upsetting," before banging his firsts on the panel in front of him and raging: "Yes it's Silent Witness, we know!"

Richard then apologised to Ranvir and guests who joined the two presenters in the studio, saying: "Sorry, I will calm down eventually."

GMB viewers were quick to react to Richard's on-air rant, with one conceding: "I can't stand Richard Madeley, but i actually agree with him on this...the 'warnings' before programmes are pathetic and should be stopped." Talking about Richard, another tweeted: "@richardm56 trends almost every week without fail, and for ALL the wrong reasons. I wonder if @GMB is either, willing to lose viewers and likes the exposure, or waiting for him to spontaneously combust.

A third reacted: "#richardmadeley on #gmb really irritates me! I mean he's not horrible or anything but he waffles on and just genuinely annoys me! I don't know why though! Why is he always on it now!"
