"The Agency" TV series

Renowned actor Richard Gere is set to make his mark on the small screen with a leading role in the upcoming Showtime political thriller, The Agency. This casting announcement marks Gere's first major television series role, adding to his impressive career that has spanned decades.

In The Agency, Gere will portray the character of Bosko, a seasoned London Station Chief with a rich history as an 8-year undercover agent. Joining a star-studded lineup that includes Michael Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright, Gere's addition to the cast has generated significant buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.

Described as a fresh take on the acclaimed French drama Le Bureau, The Agency promises to deliver a gripping narrative filled with intrigue and espionage. The series follows the story of Martian (played by Fassbender), a covert CIA agent who is forced to confront his past when he returns to London Station and reunites with a former love interest.

Known for his ability to bring depth and authenticity to his roles, Gere's involvement in The Agency has been met with enthusiasm. Showtime's President/CEO, Chris McCarthy, praised Gere's talent and expressed confidence in his ability to captivate audiences with his performance.

Aside from his television endeavors, Gere continues to be actively involved in various film projects. His upcoming works include 'Oh, Canada' directed by Paul Schrader, where he stars alongside Jacob Elordi and Uma Thurman, as well as 'The Making Of' with Diane Keaton and Blake Lively.

Currently in production in London, The Agency is a collaboration between Showtime Studios and 101 Studios, with George Clooney and Grant Heslov serving as executive producers through Smokehouse Pictures. The series promises to offer viewers a thrilling and immersive experience as it delves into the world of international espionage and high-stakes intrigue.
