Richard Arnold has claimed the Glazers aren't frightened by protests against their ownership of Manchester United.
After the collapse of the European Super League in April 2021, United fans came together in an unprecedented protest against the Glazers, with around 5,000 supporters protesting at Old Trafford to postpone the Reds' match versus Liverpool.
United fans were successful with their target of postponing the fixture and it was first time a Premier League match had been postponed because of fan protests. The pressure on the Glazers continued into the new season and demonstrations were seen around Old Trafford again. The 1958 supporters group have been responsible for organising recent protests.

At the weekend, the group wanted to protest outside of Arnold's home in Cheshire but he received advance notice of their plan. Arnold took the initiative and met the supporters in the pub they had gathered at instead, holding a lengthy discussion with fans.
In that discussion, which was covertly recorded and shared on social media, Arnold discussed the protests against the Glazers, as he warned fans the American owners are not 'frightened' of them.
"Last season was a nightmare, I was hating every game," Arnold said. "There were a couple of things. For one, the protests, protest to me. It's my job and I should take it. Protest to the owners, but the sponsors have put money into the club.
"They shouldn't get punished, what have they done wrong? They've put money in to help the club. Does it really [pressure on sponsors hurt the Glazers]? You know what it was like in 2005, the pressure put on the owners not to buy the club.
"They bought the club anyway. If you want to think about them that way, they're hard rock hard. [To say they] don't care is the wrong word... they're not frightened of people."
