Actor, rapper and stand-up comic Ricarlo Flanagan has died at the age of 40.
The star's death was confirmed by his agent Stu Golfman of KMR Talent.
He had appeared in the US version of Shameless as well as being a semifinalist on Last Comic Standing.
Stu told Deadline : "Ricarlo was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life and a joy to work for. He will be missed dearly."
A cause of death hasn't yet been confirmed.
Ricarlo had recently posted to Twitter about contracting Covid-19. He wrote: "This covid is no joke. I don’t wish this on anybody."
He starred on the 2015 series of NBC's stand-up showcase Last Comic Standing where he reached the semi-final stages.

He also worked on several acting gigs, including on Showtime’s Shameless and Disney+ series Walk the Prank.
Just prior to his death he had signed up for a single episode part on Peacock’s Bust Down, and sorted his first film role in John Patton Ford’s thriller Emily the Criminal, alongside Aubrey Plaza and Theo Rossi.
He had guest appearances on shows such as The Mick, The Carmichael Show, Insecure, The Neighborhood, Mad About You, Kidding and Room 104.
As well as his comic routines and acting career, Ricarlo released three albums under his rap name Father Flanagn.
His fourth album, titled Both Sides of the Brain, was scheduled for release today.
Friends and followers took to social media to mourn his death.
Comedian Steve Hofstetter wrote: "Just heard that Ricarlo Flanagan has passed. I don't know details yet. Other than he was one of the funniest, kindest people I knew in this business.
"I worked with him on so many things, hung with him so many times, and I will miss him so much.
"Just f***ing wrecked right now."

Another fan said: "I met Ricarlo Flanagan when we were in a play together and we clicked. I listened to his albums and became a big fan. I had to have him on a show that I helped book.
"I'm glad I had the honor of sharing the stage with him. He was an extremely cool funny talented dude. RIP brother."
And a third penned: "My heart aches for Detroit Comedy and the Flanagan family. RIP Ricarlo. A kind and hilarious man."
