Rhys McClenaghan proved his class once again as he claimed Pommel Horse gold at the 2023 European Championships in Turkey.
The Co Down gymnast posted a score of 14..66 in Saturday's final to finish in front of Armenian Maxime Gentges, who finished just behind with a score of 14.566.
It sees McClenaghan become a two-time European champion, and add the medal to the World Championship gold he won in Liverpool last November.

The Newtownards 23-year-old also won gold at the 2018 European Championships when he held off Croatia’s Robert Seligman and Slovenia’s Sašo Bertoncelj in Glasgow – when he also became the first Irish gymnast to win a European medal.
Saturday's win will make McClenaghan - a 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallist - hot favourite heading into next year's Paris Olympics.
