RHS Bridgewater offers Salford residents membership deal for its second birthday

RHS Garden Bridgewater is offering Salford residents 30 per cent off an RHS membership as the garden marks its second birthday. Members can have unlimited entry to all five RHS gardens and free entry to over 200 partner gardens.

The membership also allows access to reduced rate tickets for RHS flower shows, gardening workshops and family friend events, as well as gardening advice from RHS experts and The Garden magazine. You'll need to act fast though as the offer is only available to Salford residents from May 18 to June 18.

Since its opening in May 2021 the garden has also offered free entry to Salford residents on Tuesdays, with more than 42,000 people benefitting from it. Originally intended to end after the first year, the scheme has been subsequently renewed each yet and is not set to end until 2024.

Head of RHS Garden Bridgewater Richard Green said “More than 42,000 people have visited Bridgewater as part of our Salford Free Tuesday scheme and we hope that the membership offer will inspire our local community to spend even more time at the garden.”

The creation of RHS Bridgewater saw the transformation of the former Worsley New Hall estate in one of the largest horticultural projects undertaken in Europe in recent years. Today Bridgewater features beautiful formal gardens, woodland walks and a lake.

Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett added: “RHS Bridgewater has provided Salford and Greater Manchester with an amazing visitor attraction as well as local asset for our communities. Almost one million visitors in two years proves how popular the garden is and Salford residents benefit from the free Tuesday offer.

“There is so much more for the development of the site and in the last two years we have worked hard to realise a £3.8million walking and cycling project which offers 6.2km of connections and sustainable travel opportunities for people visiting the garden. All sections are now open with just some minor works in progress to make the route fully complete.”

The Salford resident membership offer is valid from May 18 to June 18 inclusive and is only available in person at the garden only. Proof of Salford residence is required at the time of purchase, along with ID showing your name.
