RHOOC Gina Kirschenheiter swears by this simple hack for keeping her home clean, and germ-free all year round

In the craziness of the back-to-school season, it's easy to fall behind on household cleaning. Everyone handles this busy time of the year differently, but for Gina Kirschenheiter, it's about attacking the problem from all angles. That's why the Real Housewife of Orange County keeps disinfecting wipes in every room.

As a busy mom, reality star, and real estate agent, Kirschenheiter needs to stay on top of interior organization. In an exclusive interview with Homes & Gardens, Kirschenheiter spoke about her top cleaning tips and her partnership with Clorox. She states: 'My partnership with Clorox was a no-brainer because I am an avid Clorox user. I have a lot of kids, and a lot of animals, and a lot of mess. I like partnerships that are just natural and organic and authentic.'

As for how she keeps her home clean, she relies on one easy cleaning shortcut. 'I'm all about convenience. To me, it's about having multiple canisters of Clorox wipes on hand. I have them everywhere, basically. My advice is to keep them everywhere. That's what they sell them in packs of three and four. If you have them everywhere, that's what will end up making your life easier because, "Oh, it's in this drawer, and I can just wipe the table here." and "Oh, it's in this cabinet, and I can wipe the countertop here."

The trick doesn't work just in the home, but also for cleaning the garage floors and other parental duties. Kirschenheiter says, 'I also keep them in my car and I keep them in the garage. I love to wipe the kids' sneakers down with them and I love to wipe off the inside of the car. I also love to gift them to the teachers when they ask for donations. It's the best donation you can give. The teachers are all about it.'

Furthermore, Kirschenheiter's advice applies in more than her capacity as a parent. 'I'm also a realtor so I bring the to-go packs to my open houses. I have some in every bag. I have a pack in my closet, and I wipe my nice shoes, like, my heels, if you go out when it's not the best weather you can wipe that. If you just do it right away, then it's always better. I have them everywhere and I go.'

Kirschenheiter loves this hack because it's about more than aesthetics. The wipes are disinfecting, making them perfect for cleaning your home if you suspect someone is ill. 'I don't like germs. What I love about Clorox is it's not just about it looking clean. You want it to actually be clean and they actually kill the germs, so to me that makes a big difference.'

By prioritizing cleanliness in every aspect of your home, it becomes much easier to keep things clean over time. When it's easy to straighten as you go, it doesn't feel like such a monumental task.
