Rhasidat Adeleke set a new Irish indoor 200m record on Saturday night with a brilliant run in Albuquerque.
The Dubliner was representing the University of Texas in the Dr MLK Invitational and posted a winning time of 22.52 seconds, which is the fastest 200m in the world this year.
The time beats her previous record of 22.85, which she set at the same venue in 2022.
Adeleke, 20, also ran 7.20 seconds in the 60m on Saturday as she finished second behind her teammate Julien Alfred, who ran a new NCAA record of 7.02.
