All season long, Robert Griffin III has provided plenty of colorful commentary on the Baltimore Ravens, the final of the three NFL teams he played for.
The Ravens backfield combination of quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry is playing at such an elite level that it’s initially difficult to describe it.
Everyone who follows football is praising them right now, but RG3 did so in a unique way.
Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are like a real life Goku and Vegeta. Used to be enemies fighting for football glory in the AFC. Now as a team, they are both making each other better than ever. pic.twitter.com/bnBEPCe5Ef

As someone who loves a great pop culture reference in their Ravens analysis (especially if it involves hip-hop lyrics), I recognize Griffin’s top-notch analogy skills.
But I am at a loss on this one. From the photo, it’s clear he’s talking about something Japanese. I asked the Google machine about it, and it referenced a series called “Dragon Ball.”
I’ll take RG3’s word for how the comparison holds up, but I can discern that it’s meant to be a compliment.
