After getting confirmed by the Senate on Thursday, newly appointed Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. claimed in a resurfaced clip circulating on X that people can't trust advice from medical professionals.

"It's sad to say this, but you cannot trust medical advice from medical professionals," RFK Jr. claimed in a clip circulating on X.

"It doesn't mean that you don't have a great doctor that you shouldn't listen to but you need to take control of your own healthcare," he continued. "You need to question everything."

RFK Jr. will serve in the Trump administration despite major concerns from both political parties and experts in the medical and scientific communities because of previous statements he had made about allergies, vaccines and autism.

As HHS secretary, Kennedy will control a $1.7 trillion budget that oversees the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes for Health. After viewing the clip, several X users scourged RFK Jr. for his claim.

"He is in so many ways the most dangerous man in this country and the world," one X user wrote.

"Coming from a family of several doctors, I resent the hell out of that statement," another user tweeted.

RFK Jr. was then sworn in Thursday afternoon.
