Revolut has announced they will launch a car insurance service in Ireland in the coming months - and one lucky user from their waitlist can win €2,500.
The global financial app is encouraging customers to join the waitlist for their app-based car insurance which, they say, will offer flexible payment options, competitive pricing, "no hidden fees", and the ability for customers to cancel at anytime. Additionally, Revolut users that sign up to the waitlist by April 13 this year and buy a policy from Revolut by 30th May 2024 will get a chance to win €2,500.
Those that don't have a Revolut account already can still win the money by opening an account and joining the waitlist by April 13. Revolut will perform a draw on June 15, 2024, crediting the money into the winner’s account by June 30, 2024 and letting them know through their registered Revolut email.

The banking company, which has more than two million customers in Ireland, will offer eligible customers additional discounts of up to 25 per cent off if they enable the Smart Driving feature through easy installation of a device that plugs directly into the car’s accessory socket. Customers opting in for Smart Driving will have tailored prices based on their driving behaviour and will be able to get "better rates every year".
A spokesman for Revolut said: "Revolut will be the first in the market to provide an app-based Car Insurance journey, making insurance more convenient for customers. The quick and easy onboarding journey is fully digital with less than five minutes to get a quote for those eligible - several times faster than the market standard.
"With both annual and monthly payment options available, Revolut Car Insurance will offer customers flexible payment options with no hidden fees such as interest rates on monthly payments, widespread in Ireland today. The in-app policy management offers customers an end-to-end digital journey . As a truly flexible service, customers can cancel at any time without incurring any extra costs."
To join the waitlist, go to the app's official website from your smartphone.
