Review: Remoska Tria is a perfect mix of convenience, versatility and efficiency

The kitchen has become a battleground over the past year or so as households throughout the country fight to lower their energy prices. Air fryers flew out of the shelves at the start of the cost-of-living crisis, but it's easy to forget there are other options.

We tried out Remoska's new Tria 3-in-1 Oven-to-Table Electric Cooker with that in mind but found it offered a whole lot more than we had bargained for. Our family is no stranger to the Remoska name as they are huge on the Continent. My mother, who has retired to France, has been going on about them for years. They are a popular choice for caravan holidays when you might not have a conventional oven to use.

Essentially, all the 4.5-litre Teflon-coated cooking pot needs is a power socket. Sleek and modern with sturdy build quality, the pot is non-stick and can easily be cleaned as the lid does the hard work. The Tria comes with three different lids and can bake, roast and grill just like previous models, but now also functions as a clear glass casserole dish and a pressurised pan with its SoftPressure lid.

What sets the Remoska Tria apart from other cooking appliances is this versatility. You can bake delicious cakes, grill succulent meats, and even fry crispy snacks, all in one compact device. The ability to switch between these modes with ease adds a lot of convenience to the cooking process.

The 610W baking lid features a clear glass viewing window, a built-in rest, and a simple on/off switch. The power cable can be detached from the handle of the lid, and it uses very little energy. The additional SoftPressure lid keeps the heat in when using the cooking pot as a conventional pan or casserole dish.

It also makes stovetop cooking faster by increasing the pressure inside the pan, producing slow-cooked-style results in a fraction of the time. It locks into the handles with a simple one-handed mechanism – with a red spot that shows if it’s not locked in correctly – and as the lid has a glass panel, it’s easy to check on progress.

While the Remoska is great for camping, caravanning or small living spaces, its thrifty nature means it's a great buy for your everyday kitchen. In some cases, a Remoksa could cost you half as much as an air fryer to run. It uses a fraction of the energy consumed by conventional ovens or stovetops as it evenly distributes heat, ensuring efficient and consistent cooking results. This also translates to faster cooking times, which is a huge time-saver.

We threw a few things at the pot and were very impressed by the results. The highlight was using it to roast a pork joint in super-quick time while keeping all the juices that you usually get from slow cooking. We even baked our own bread in it.

The Remoska Tria is an exceptional cooking appliance that brings convenience, versatility, and efficiency to any kitchen. Its compact size, versatility, and user-friendly controls make it a joy to use. The appliance delivers consistent and delicious results, while saving you money. If you're looking for a multifunctional cooking device that saves both time and energy, the Remoska Tria is well worth a look.

The Remoska Tria is currently available for £209,99 from Amazon.
