New life is blooming at a Midlands farm where children and their parents can get up close and personal with cows, goats, cows and sheep. And as it's Easter, there is also a chance to meet the Easter Bunny as the National Forest Adventure Farm brings its Easter Eggstravanganza.
The farm in Tatenhill, on the outskirts of Burton, is just a 45-minute drive from Nottingham city centre. We took a trip with our children - aged six and two - and they could not wait to dive into all the attraction had to offer as soon as we got through the entrance.
This was certainly not our first visit to the farm but it always manages to offer something different for families - well, on our last trip we were chased by a raptor. On this occasion, we got to see the start of new life. The animal barn continues to prove a popular attraction as visitors can pet and feed farmyard animals.

But it was the sheep that proved to be the star of the show as a substantial queue of people waited outside the lamb feeding tent. Here, some of the farm's newest arrivals can be seen jumping and running around the pens, ready to be given their morning milk by the younger visitors.
This proved a highlight for our particular party, alongside the 'maternity tent' where you could see sheep and their newborn lambs, with eagle-eyed staff members ready to place a mum in a single pen if she is about to give birth. Aside from the real-life attractions, this year there is an Easter panto to enjoy.
The Mystery of the Egg Snaffler is a live and interactive show which is included in the entry price. It involves a group helping 'Mrs Rumpadump' find the Easter chocolate which had been stolen by the evil Egg Snaffler. And if that was not enough chocolate-related fun, the popular trail returns where families can ride the Easter Eggspress tractor and trail ride to Bunny Woods.
Here, there is a path to follow where you can meet animals and find the Easter Bunny, who is armed with chocolate for children and adults. Easter Eggstravaganza tickets cost £15.99 for children and adults and £12.99 for seniors or disabled visitors - under 2s go free.
