Revenue officers seized 32,000 cigarettes from a premises in Dublin 15 today.
The search was as a result of routine profile with trusty detector dog Milo eager to help.
These illicit cigarettes were branded ‘NZ Gold’ and came from Lithuania. They have an estimated retail value of more than €24,000, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €19,000.

A woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s were questioned.
In a separate operation, officers seized 90kgs of ‘roll your own’ tobacco, with an estimated retail value of over €63,000 from a premises in Co. Louth.
Revenue officers had a warrant to search the premises and a man in his 30s was questioned. The smuggled 'Amber Leaf' Tobacco had originated from Spain and represented a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €49,000.
Investigations into both seizures are still ongoing.
A Revenue spokeswoman said: "These seizures are part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the shadow economy and the supply and sale of illegal tobacco products.
