That’s the deal at the Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, N.J. starting in early June. The Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Cal. is expected to open its new grab-and-go spot later this summer.
Both sites will introduce an Amazon-Coca Cola sponsored Quick 6 micro-market that leverages Amazon’s emerging Just Walk Out cashless store technology without having to wait to check out at the register. Coca Cola beverages and snacks will be widely at both amusement park outlets.
Cited as the “first and only” automated checkout-free shopping experience within a theme park, both Quick 6 shops “uses frictionless commerce technology to deliver a satisfying shopping experience for park guests, allowing them to save time and leave the store without having to wait in line to pay,’ Six Flags stated in a new media release. “Visitors can peruse the store, place items in their virtual cart and then simply leave when they’re done, with their selections automatically charged to the payment method used to enter the store.”
Both stores are also expected to expand on the food and beverage options, offering wet weather gear, sun block, gift cars, and other summer-themed retail items.
“Checkout-free stores powered by Just Walk Out technology provide fast, seamless and contactless transactions, which we think will resonate really well in this setting,” said Six Flags Vice President Stephanie Borges.
Amazon’s checkout-free shopping experience have already been introduced at Amazon Go outlets, Amazon Fresh stores, and at select Whole Foods locations.
