Republican primary elections for all 30 districts in the Arizona State Senate took place on Aug. 2, 2022. Of the 30 districts up for election in 2022, 14 had a Republican primary election with more than one candidate.
Across all contested Republican primary elections, candidates raised $5.3 million. Incumbents raised an average of $689,629 per candidate and challengers raised an average of $70,047 per candidate.

The table below details the five Republican primary elections with the most fundraising in the State Senate. Winning candidates’ names are in bold.

#1 District 7 – $3,096,643
Incumbent Kelly Townsend raised $65,436 and Incumbent Wendy Rogers raised $3,031,207.
Wendy Rogers advanced to the general election with 59 percent of the vote and Kelly Townsend received 41 percent of the vote.
#2 District 1 – $507,806
Steve Zipperman raised $273,141, Noel Campbell raised $109,926, Ken Bennett raised $88,903, and Anne Marie Ward raised $35,835.
Ken Bennett advanced to the general election with 50 percent of the vote, Steve Zipperman received 50 percent of the vote, Noel Campbell withdrew, and Anne Marie Ward withdrew.
#3 District 10 – $392,314
Russell Bowers raised $323,386 and David Farnsworth raised $68,928.
David Farnsworth advanced to the general election with 64 percent of the vote and Russell Bowers received 36 percent of the vote.
#4 District 3 – $315,274
Jan Dubauskas raised $227,382 and John Kavanagh raised $87,893.
John Kavanagh advanced to the general election with 51 percent of the vote and Jan Dubauskas received 49 percent of the vote.
#5 District 29 – $261,820
Janae Shamp raised $141,929, Joanne Osborne raised $115,841, and Ryan Eldridge raised $4,050.
Janae Shamp advanced to the general election with 52 percent of the vote, Joanne Osborne received 32 percent of the vote, and Ryan Eldridge received 16 percent of the vote.
