An appeal from an Oldham restaurant to reunite an owner with a pair of teeth left behind after a party has made it onto Loose Women. Owners at The Barclay on Rochdale Road in Royton discovered the full set of teeth left on the floor by the bar area on Saturday night (March 19). Concerned that someone may need them back, staff packaged them up in a plastic bag.
The teeth were found as staff were cleaning up following a party, with staff later posting on social media in a bid to find the owners of the lost choppers. The post said: "We get a lot of things left behind after a night in the barclay.. we’ve had house keys, phones, even a single shoe (she must have hopped home) but this is a new one…
“So if you have lost your teeth… YES TEETH!! Give us a call, we’ve kept them safe for you. PS. It must have been a cracking night.”
On Monday (March 20), restaurant owner Emma Whelan told the M.E.N she received a picture of the teeth from a supervisor after they came across the teeth. Emma said: “We had a party upstairs and it was busy downstairs as well. We didn’t find the teeth until the end of the night.”
She added: “Our supervisor Cameron found them. They were on the floor by the bar. It’s a full set of teeth. I particularly wanted to post it because someone is definitely missing them.”
Earlier today, the story made it onto ITV’s popular daytime talk show Loose Women. Presenter Christine Lampard said: “A restaurant owner has made a hilarious plea on social media after someone left behind their false teeth.”
In fits of giggles, Christine then showed a picture of the teeth in the bag where they are being stored. The Barclay’s Facebook page shared a clip of the TV appearance, saying: “The search continues…..Who knew the world would want you reunited with your teeth this much!”
The restaurant has now even offered the owners of the false gnashers free pizza for life. They said that Fox News in America had also approached them about the story.
The post added: “Come forward… FREE PIZZA FOR LIFE… (seriously we couldn’t have paid for this publicity, we owe you!!). The MEN launched the appeal… followed by the Daily mirror & The daily Star and now AMERICA’s FOX NEWS have come knocking.
“Let’s give this a Disney ending… it deserves it!!”
If the false teeth belong to you, then head on over to The Barclay Facebook’s page to get in touch.
