Manchester United made the worst possible start to this afternoon's Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium, falling behind inside just five minutes.
Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva played a low ball into the centre of the box and Kevin De Bruyne, in space, fired past David de Gea. It was a cool finish from the Belgian and immediately brought the roof off of the Etihad.
Alex Telles failed to get close enough to De Bruyne and he made no mistake to net his eighth Premier League goal of the campaign. City piled bodies down the left flank and Bernardo, who got past Victor Lindelof, played a perfectly weighted pass for De Bruyne to fire home first time.

Having made the worst possible start to the contest, United's supporters, unsurprisingly, immediately took to social media to react. Whilst some of them shared tongue-in-cheek sarcastic comments, others slammed Telles for not getting tight enough to De Bruyne.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what they had to say.
As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, United's supporters have criticised Telles and Lindelof for their roles in the goal. One person, however, joked that he had not even loaded his stream up yet, pointing to how quickly City had scored.
Aside from conceding, however, United started the game reasonably well, seeing a good amount of the ball and looking to push through the lines. Jadon Sancho, in particular, was seeing plenty of the ball on the left.
