People living in parts of Merseyside reported hearing a "loud speaker noise" on Thursday afternoon.
Posting on social media, some people asked what the "loud speaker shouting" noise was that could be heard in parts of Whiston, near to the park. While some people could not hear anything, others were confused as to what it could have been.
The noise could be heard around the Stadt Moers Park area in Whiston. Suggestions were made that the noise could be down to rehearsals for an upcoming outdoor performance at the park this weekend. From Friday, October 7 to October 9, the park will be transformed to tell unique stories from the borough.

"Don't miss #AThousandFeetDeep at Stadt Moers Park for this weekend only. The performance will take you on a journey exploring the history and spirit of #Knowsley."
Stadt Moers Park can be accessed via Pottery Lane, Cross Lane, West View, Huyton Lane and Paradise Lane. The weekend performances are due to start at 8.30pm.
