A damaged car is pictured at the site of a U.S. airstrike in al-Qaim

An entire block of residential buildings in central Gaza's Al-Maghazi refugee camp was destroyed in the early hours of Monday following an airstrike. Eyewitnesses and footage filmed on the scene captured the devastation caused by the strike.

Residents reported receiving a warning call from the Israeli military only minutes before the airstrike hit, prompting them to evacuate swiftly. The aftermath, as shown in video footage, revealed the block reduced to rubble with debris scattered across the area. Furniture and personal belongings were visible under the collapsed buildings, highlighting the extent of the destruction.

Khalil Shishniyeh, a resident, recounted how his neighbor alerted him to evacuate just before the strike targeted his house. He mentioned that eight displaced families were residing in the building that was hit. Another individual shared the harrowing experience of evacuating within minutes, narrowly escaping the impact of the airstrike.

One young man described the chaotic evacuation, mentioning that they left without any belongings, including his grandmother who was on a wheelchair. An elderly woman recalled being woken by a frantic neighbor warning of the imminent strike, which led to a hurried escape with her children.

The scene depicted in the aftermath footage showed dozens of people, including men, women, and children, amidst the destruction, trying to salvage whatever they could from the debris. The testimonies of the residents shed light on the urgency and fear that gripped the community during the sudden attack.
