The recent Resident Evil games seem to love hiding little toys everywhere that you need to hunt down and obliterate. Resident Evil 2 Remake hid things everywhere, and Resident Evil 4 Remake has some too, although there’s only one per chapter.
These Clockwork Castellans can be tucked away in the most irritating of places, and by the time the game tells you they exist in Chapter 2, you’ve already missed one. That’s why we’ve put together this comprehensive guide to the location of every single one, which will earn you the Revolution Wind-Up trophy.

Chapter 1 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
Once you’ve got passed the farm, the collectible is in the Lakeside Settlement. You need to go into the building where the dynamite-throwing Ganados come from and look up at the broken roof.
Chapter 2 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
After you get the Hexagonal Emblem in Chapter 2, you’ll find the Clockwork Castellan in the area where the chainsaw man bursts out of, in the corner.
Chapter 3 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
Near the first firing range, head down to the dock and into the dead end on your right. Your target is on top of some boxes.
Chapter 4 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
As you explore the lake, go to the northern dock, at the Lakeside Settlement where you found your first Castellan. Use the Insignia Key to get through the gate and into the Forest Altar, the Castellan is behind the fence.
Chapter 5 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
After you’ve rescued Ashley you’ll have to return to the village, go into the Mayor’s House and climb up into the attic, where you’ll find this Castellan.
Chapter 6 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
In this combat-heavy chapter, just before the checkpoint where you fight the Bella Sisters, there’s a quarry on your right, with a bonfire above it. The Castellan is at the base of the bonfire.
Chapter 7 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
After you fight Garrador in the dungeon, but before you reach the treasury, you’ll pass through a storeroom. The Clockwork Castellan is on a shelf in there.
Chapter 8 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
Shoot the weights that you can see through the gates in Chapter 8 and you’ll be able to climb the Castle Battlements do so and you can find the Clockwork Castellan for this chapter in the first section, around the back of the raised section.
Chapter 9 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
You can find this Castellan around the northwest corner of the courtyard, near a First Aid Spray. It’s just down beside a box that will be blocking your path.
Chapter 10 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
This cheeky customer is down in the Depths, where you fight Verdugo. With the merchant on your left, move down the hall and you’ll see the Castellan poking its head out from one of the pipes, behind a grate.
Chapter 11 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
Between one minecart and the next is a small stopover area, this Castellan is up in the rafters.
Chapter 12 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
This Clockwork Castellan is under the stairs on the lowest level of the Clock Tower.
Chapter 13 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
In this chapter, you’ll head up the Wharf and head into the Lab, but before you enter the Lab, check under a truck just behind a road barrier, the Castellan is there.
Chapter 14 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
After Ashley gets taken in the Amber Storeroom, go to the room just above the campsite, the Castellan will be on top of the lockers.
Chapter 15 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
Just before the Specimen Storage room, there’s a small side room. Be very careful here, as if you go through the door that requires the wheel level, then you won’t be able to come back. The Castellan is up in the rafters of this side room.
Chapter 16 Clockwork Castellan location – RE4R
After beating Saddler you’ll have to make your escape, but as you pass through the underground passage there’s a Castellan to destroy. It’s in the room where a single Ganado bursts out at you, on some piled-up boxes.
