The shady yet beloved merchant of Resident Evil 4 has left a bunch of strange requests around the world in this remake. There are some rare and valuable items on his wishlist, and it’s up to you to get your hands on them. One such item is a golden egg, which is certainly no small ask. Thankfully, there are two guaranteed locations to find the Gold Chicken Egg you need, and the easiest one to find is at the lake during Chapter 4.

Where to start the Egg Hunt request – RE4R
Just before you hop in your boat for the first time in Chapter 4, look to a wall near the dock, there you’ll find the Blue Parchment to start the request.
Where to find a Gold Egg – RE4R
There’s a spot to dock on the eastern side of the lake, it’s not hard to spot as it’s the only thing in the area. Go there and you’ll find just one treasure there. You’ll find a bunch of chickens on the dock but leave them alone, as they might lay you eggs.
What you want from this dock is the Gold Chicken Egg, which you’ll find in the bushes. This is a guaranteed spawn, so you don’t have to worry about luck. Sell it to the merchant and the request will be complete.
