The New England Patriots obviously aren’t done stockpiling draft picks, which was evident in the team acquiring a seventh-round pick on Monday morning in exchange for tight end Jonnu Smith.
An agreement with the Atlanta Falcons basically ended in a salary cap dump for the Patriots heading into the new league year on March 15.
With the additional draft pick, along with the two compensatory picks the team was awarded last week, the Patriots will officially be entering the 2023 NFL draft with 11 total picks. That’s more than enough draft assets to reshape the team how coach Bill Belichick sees fit.
The team will have the No. 14 overall pick to kick-start the festivities on the opening night of the draft board going live on Thursday, April 27. Here’s the complete draft order after the Smith trade.
