On the other hand, Lynn Mowrey from Kansas City, Kansas, expressed a desire for clarity on the Democratic candidate they would be facing. Mowrey highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the opposing candidate as a reason for the party's positive approach during the convention.

Reflecting similar sentiments, Bonkoski believed that with Harris at the top of the Democratic ticket, the Republicans' chances of winning in November would increase.
