One delegate from Pennsylvania, Carolyn Bonkoski, stated that Biden is perceived as being so damaged that his chances of winning are slim. Bonkoski believed that Biden staying in the race would be advantageous for the Republican Party's prospects in the election.
On the other hand, Lynn Mowrey from Kansas City, Kansas, expressed a desire for clarity on the Democratic candidate they would be facing. Mowrey highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the opposing candidate as a reason for the party's positive approach during the convention.
Mowrey also shared her opinion that Vice President Kamala Harris, if she were to replace Biden as the Democratic nominee, would be a weaker opponent due to what she perceived as Harris's lack of experience and presentation style.
Reflecting similar sentiments, Bonkoski believed that with Harris at the top of the Democratic ticket, the Republicans' chances of winning in November would increase.
