Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance recently addressed the shift in the Trump campaign's stance on mail-in voting, acknowledging the current reality of the voting method. While expressing his personal preference for traditional Election Day voting, Vance emphasized the need to adapt to the changes in voting procedures, particularly in Pennsylvania where mail-in voting has been expanded.

In 2019, Pennsylvania revamped its election laws to allow for earlier mail-in voting and to make it easier for voters to cast their ballots by mail. Despite concerns raised by Vance about potential issues with mail-in voting, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's official website asserts that voting by mail is safe and secure, with no widespread evidence of fraud in the state.

Vance highlighted the importance of ensuring the integrity of mail-in votes through measures such as proper signature matching and tracking to registered voters. He emphasized the Republican Party's commitment to upholding the legality of ballots, advocating for the inclusion of only legal votes in the final count.

He stressed the Republican Party's ongoing efforts to protect the rights of all voters and to uphold the integrity of the election system.

As Pennsylvania continues to implement mail-in voting procedures, Vance urged a focus on ensuring that every vote is legitimate and accurately counted. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of upholding the democratic principles of fair and accurate elections.
