The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) has announced its largest fundraising and expenditure effort to support the GOP presidential nominee, aiming to raise a minimum of $5 million to help elect former President Trump in the upcoming White House rematch with President Biden. This initiative, which includes the RJC Victory Fund super PAC, marks the organization's most substantial mobilization in the Jewish community for President Trump.
In addition to the $5 million commitment, the RJC plans a $15 million independent expenditure, the largest in its history. The announcement comes amidst anti-Israel protests on college campuses following Israel's conflict with Hamas in Gaza. Demonstrators have criticized President Biden's stance on the issue, leading to heightened attention and debate.
RJC's national political director emphasized the Jewish community's increased energy to support Trump, citing rising antisemitism and strained U.S.-Israel relations. The group, representing tens of thousands of Jewish Republicans nationwide, aims to counter what they perceive as failures and betrayals by the current administration.
Established over four decades ago, the RJC has historically received significant support from late Republican donor Sheldon Adelson. Remaining neutral during the 2024 GOP presidential nomination race, the organization endorsed Trump in March following the withdrawal of his last rival, Nikki Haley.
The RJC's efforts reflect a united front among Republicans against the backdrop of divisive views within the Democratic Party regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.
