Two Republican House members have recently announced the formation of a new task force dedicated to the declassification of federal secrets. The task force, led by GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and supported by House Oversight Chair James Comer, aims to shed light on various sensitive issues.
Building upon an executive order signed by former President Donald Trump, the task force will focus on releasing files related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. Luna emphasized that the task force will also delve into the client list of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, as well as investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) and Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs).
Contrary to misconceptions, Luna clarified that the task force is not a conspiracy theory investigating committee but rather a platform to present truth to the American people. The team, which includes GOP Reps. Tim Burchett, Lauren Boebert, Eric Burlison, Eli Crane, Brandon Gill, and Nancy Mace, aspires to promote bipartisanship in its endeavors.
Luna revealed plans to hold the first task force hearing in March and has already initiated communication with various agencies, including the Department of Justice and the Department of State. The task force aims to operate transparently and collaboratively to fulfill its mission of uncovering and disclosing pertinent information to the public.
