Republican Congressman Byron Donald of Florida provided fresh reaction to Donald Trump's guilty verdict from yesterday. According to Congressman Donald, he spoke with the former president last night and noted that Trump remained in good spirits despite the verdict. Donald expressed his belief that the charges against Trump were unjust, labeling the situation as a 'joke' and a 'farce.'

Donald criticized the legal proceedings in New York, stating that the charges should never have been brought in the first place. He highlighted that the judge, prosecution, and jury failed to clearly define the underlying crime that led to the felony charges against Trump. Donald emphasized that even to this day, there is confusion surrounding the nature of the alleged offense.

The Congressman argued that the lack of clarity regarding the charges violated Trump's constitutional rights, as every American is entitled to know the accusations against them in order to mount a proper defense. Donald asserted that the situation in New York portrayed Trump as being 'below the law' rather than holding him accountable, which he deemed as reprehensible.

Despite the guilty verdict, Donald Trump reportedly remains determined to continue fighting. Congressman Donald's remarks shed light on the ongoing controversy surrounding the legal case and Trump's response to the outcome.
