It was the topic of a lot of conversations on Friday, after the Dallas Mavericks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of their NBA playoff series: why did we hear some, er, NSFW noises as Luka Doncic spoke to the media?
For those of you who guessed it was a prank, that appears to be the case. Per Athletic reporters Andrew Schlecht and Tim Cato on a podcast, it was an unnamed Maverick who decided to play the noises to get Doncic, and not a member of the media accidentally watching something they shouldn’t watch.
