After acquiring Chris Paul in a blockbuster trade with the Washington Wizards at the start of the summer, the Golden State Warriors are reportedly showing interest in his former teammate in “Lob City.”
According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the Warriors are one of the teams expressing interest in veteran big man Blake Griffin. The Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers are also showing interest in Griffin, per Amico.

During the 2022-23 season, Griffin played 41 games with the Boston Celtics, averaging 4.1 points on 48.5% shooting from the floor with 3.8 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per contest. Griffin is a six-time NBA All-Star, most recently coming during the 2018-19 season with the Detroit Pistons. Paul and Griffin were teammates on the Clippers for six seasons.
Following the peak of the offseason transaction period, the Golden State Warriors still have two open roster spots. However, it’s unclear if Steve Kerr and Mike Dunleavy Jr. will fill those spots or stay flexible with an open roster spot.
