The Tennessee Titans aren’t wasting any time reworking their coaching staff this offseason.
Days after picking up a new special teams coordinator in John Fassel to solidify one of the worst units in the league, they added a former Titan as an assistant.

On Thursday afternoon, news broke that former Titans safety Rayna Stewart was being hired as assistant special teams coach. This is the same position he held under Fassel with the Dallas Cowboys.
Stewart was one of the players that accompanied the franchise on their move from Houston to Tennessee in 1997. Originally a fifth-round pick of the Houston Oilers in 1996, he spent the first two years of his career with the Oilers/Titans before moving on to the Miami Dolphins in 1998. He finished his five-year career in 2000 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Stewart also began his NFL coaching career with the Titans, serving as a defensive quality control coach in 2009-2010. In all, he has eight years of NFL coaching experience with the Titans, Green Bay Packers, and Cowboys.
No official word has come out of team headquarters on the status of former special teams coordinator Colt Anderson, although this move does appear like it will have some type of impact on his future.
