Report: Texans working out former Broncos receiver DaeSean Hamilton

The Houston Texans are looking at ways to bolster their receiving corps in free agency.

According to Aaron Wilson from the Pro Football Network, the Texans are working out former Denver Broncos receiver DaeSean Hamilton, who is expected to generate interest from teams on the open market.

The Broncos released Hamilton on March 8. The former 2018 fourth-round pick from Penn State had torn his ACL during offseason workouts in 2021 and was lost for the season.

From 2018-20, Hamilton caught 81 passes for 833 yards and five touchdowns through 46 career games, nine of which he started. The 6-1, 206-pound receiver’s best season came in 2020 when he caught 23 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns.

According to Spotrac, Hamilton was going to cost the Broncos $2,813,000 in 2022.
