The Houston Texans are liking what they are seeing from Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon
According to Aaron Wilson from the Pro Football Network, the Texans consider Gannon to be a top candidate for their coaching job.
The remaining coaching jobs around the NFL are starting to take shape. The Vikings consider Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell, who was in the running for the Houston job, to be their best candidate for the opening. The Vikings can’t do anything officially with O’Connell until after Super Bowl LVI between the Rams and Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium on Feb. 13.
Going with Gannon would allow the Texans to finalize their coaching search for their fifth full-time coach in team history. Houston would be able to get upfield to try to turn the page on the rebuild.
