The Houston Texans continue to look at younger minds when it comes to their coaching search.
According to Aaron Wilson from KPRC-TV, the Texans completed an interview with Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach and assistant head coach Thomas Brown.
The 36-year-old has been with the Rams since 2020 when he was the running backs coach. In 2021, the Rams won the Super Bowl, and Thomas was both the running backs coach and assistant head coach. In 2022, Thomas moved on to coach the tight ends.
The Texans have a dynamic running back on the roster in Dameon Pierce, who finished with 939 yards through 13 games with Houston as a rookie.
The Atlanta Falcons selected Brown from Georgia in Round 6 of the 2008 NFL draft. Brown was waived prior to the start of the season. In 2009, Brown was signed to the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad in mid-November and had one promotion to the active roster in Week 17. The Browns cut Brown after mandatory minicamp.
