Late in the third quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ road contest against the Indiana Pacers, Steph Curry appeared to suffer a shoulder injury. After exiting the game and heading to the locker room, the eight-time NBA All-Star was officially ruled out for the remainder of the contest on Wednesday night due to a left shoulder injury.
Following Golden State’s loss in Indiana, Steve Kerr announced Curry would undergo an MRI on Thursday.
On Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN shared a report with an update about Curry’s injury. The Warriors’ point guard is expected to miss “a few weeks” due to his left shoulder injury, per Wojnarowski.

The Warriors have yet to officially announce a status update on Curry’s injury.
Prior to suffering his injury against the Pacers, Curry led the game with 38 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field with five made triples to go along with seven assists and seven rebounds in 30 minutes.
Curry is averaging a team-high 30 points and 6.8 assists per game. Curry is also leading the league with 131 made 3-pointers. Portland’s Anfernee Simons and Indiana’s Buddy Heald are the only other two players to surpass a 100 made 3-pointers this season.
Without Curry, Golden State will have to lean on Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson in the backcourt. Players like Moses Moody, Donte DiVincenzo and rookie Ryan Rollins could get an extended role in the backcourt with Curry expecting to miss time.
The Warriors are slated to play the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at 4:30 p.m. PT.
